Between 150 and 200 people attended Sunday afternoon in Vieux-Boucau in the tribute to Elio Canestri killed Sunday by a shark in Réunion

A minute of silence was observed on the beach in Vieux-Boucau around the portrait of the young Elio Canestri.

Sunday afternoon at 16 hours between 150 and 200 people gathered on the north beach of Vieux-Boucau to pay tribute to Elio Canestri, the young 13 year old surfer killed by a shark attack Bulldog last week at the Meeting .

The invitation was jointly launched by the surf club Old Boucau and Saint-Leu Reunion. Y answered "the great family of surfing" and several residents and anonymous. First name Elio had been trained by surfboards lined up on the sand. A minute of silence was observed around the portrait of beautiful young blond topped the epitaph "Ride in peace".

Surfers then left to conquer the waves and threw flowers into the ocean in memory of the young man, seventh victim of sharks in Reunion since 2011.
